The Jubilee Party has refuted widespread claims about a planned Gen Z event at the home of its party leader and former President Uhuru Kenyatta in Ichaweri, Gatundu, Kiambu County.
The former ruling party said no such event exists, terming the information circulating on social media as misleading.
“These claims are false, unauthorized, and misleading, and do not in any way represent the position, involvement, or endorsement of the Party Leader or the Jubilee Party,” read a statement by Secretary General Moitalel Ole Kenta on February 7, 2026.
The SG said any formal communication regarding the party leader is issued exclusively through the verified Office of the 4th President of the Republic of Kenya and the official Jubilee Party platforms.
The party said information circulating outside those channels should be treated with caution and verified accordingly.
Jubilee reaffirmed that the youth occupy a central place in the party’s vision and that it will continue engaging young people through structured, organized, and legitimate forums, including the Party Youth League.
“We remain firmly committed to empowering Millennials and Gen-Z as key stakeholders in the nation's present, into the 2027 elections and beyond,” concluded the statement.
One of the fake posters called on Gen Z to show up at Uhuru’s Ichaweri home for a planned engagement on February 25, 2026.
“All Kenyan Gen Z are welcome to Ichaweri for a meet and talk where we will discuss our journey as a nation. Lots of goat meat and uji power,” read the poster.
